Thomas Hauer was born 1963 in Magdeburg. After finishing school he worked as propman and technican at the theater „Bühnen der Stadt Magdeburg“. At this time he also started working as director and writer for a troup of actors. After his immigration to west berlin in 1988 he studied drama (theatre studies), journalism and german language and literature at the FU Berlin. He continued working as director, writer and dramatic advisor for theater at this time. 1994 his work as writer and editor for tv beginns (ORB...). Since 1997 he works as tv reporter concentrated on topics of science and reports. For TIGA he works as director and writer.
